Liz graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Instead of pursuing teaching at that time, they moved on to Boston University, and earned a Master of Science in Arts Administration in 2009. Many years later, they returned to education to pursue a Master of Education in Special Education. In professional life, Liz has worked in many capacities, job functions, and industries, including non-profit arts and community organizations, higher education, and public K-12 education. 

Liz is currently the Assistant Marching Band Director at Moniteau School District and a freelance copywriter for New Voices for Reproductive Justice. Liz also sings in a Sweet Adelines Chorus in Wexford, Greater Harmony Chorus, where they serve on the board of directors and assist with marketing efforts, serves on the Region 17 Management Team, and is part of the Chorus Toolkit Subcommittee for Sweet Adelines International.
